OP ED: WANG A/AC RACISM

Please click here to read the letter Asian and Asian American club Presidents sent to President Stanley expressing their opposition to the Toll Drive dorms and asking to meet with him to discuss it. He ignored them.

Then-student Melani Tiongson said the dorms were "like a slap in the face to my culture" and reminiscent of the days when people of color like her were "shafted for the benefit of something allegedly 'greater.'"

On this vast campus where 6-story dorms could have been built in many empty spaces, instead, an all-White building committee, never thinking of the consequences, chose directly behind Wang AAC.
