>>Main>> Excerpts from an interview with P.H. Tuan, architect of the Charles B. Wang Asian American Center, by students in November 2001, done in streaming video format. It is available to be seen using Windows Media Player (best quality) or Quicktime, both of which can be downloaded for free following the links at the bottom of the page. If you have either one already available, click at the appropriate link in the middle of the page. Please note, these are unedited video clips that have been edited together. Therefore at one point where there is an overhead plane, and another a squeaky chair, it does drown out the conversation. We will be adding written text to the video to resolve those problems for this web version. Also remember that this was designed to be seen on campus where there are T1 lines, and at sinc sites with fast computers with decent monitors. On slower connections and older computers, streaming video seems more like stills stuck together that jiggle across the screen, and in many cases, will not even be able to be viewed.. Our apologies that this streaming video does not do the Wang Asian American Center or its architect justice. This is a new technology the e-zine staff is learning. **STREAMING VIDEO: Download Quicktime here, but please remember, when it asks if you want all of your images (jpegs, gifs, etc.) in Quicktime, uncheck that box. Quicktime works on Apples and PCs. Download Windows Media Player here. It comes with Windows but you can also get a version for Apple, Palm, etc. |
