SBU AA E-ZINE LIVE!

What an incredible semester! Zine was sporadic but Zine office hummed. We honored a request to do AAJ and its Fall / Winter cover was nominated for Media Council Award. Bigger / better Spring AAJ goes to printer this week. When compared to NYU's GenerAsian - they lost - and NYU even has a real Asian American Studies major! While a great learning experience and kudos to Mai Luong, Editor, Chetan Prabhudesai, Managing Editor, and everyone who greeted many sunrises doing layout, Zine is now very happy to return AAJ to new Editor Helen Randazzo, (and yes, even with that name she is Asian!), and get back to doing what it does best, covering the SBU APA community! PUSO Fest is online this week with other fests to soon follow. Current Wang Center art exhibit contains 100 photos taken for [AA]2 / AA E-Zine contest. Architect P.H. Tuan will see it all Thursday and lunch with student artists and Sunita Mukhi. SBU Zine reins have passed on. Welcome new 07-08 Editor-in-Chief, Yina Chun, who did this issue. For smooth transition, outgoing Editor Huy Huynh will be Emeritus / Treasurer. Even with finals looming we look forward to a great Asian American Heritage Month and with 6 new lower classmen who joined last month, a great new year too!
