The purpose of this Asian-American interest sorority is to promote sisterhood, scholarship, leadership, and Asian-American awareness in the University and in the community, while encouraging the expression of the individual. The sorority is composed of highly motivated women with diverse backgrounds, interests, and fields of study. Each woman, however, shares a strong bond of love, friendship, and sisterhood. With a supportive network of sisters, each woman can strive to fulfill her personal, academic, and career goals.

Meetings: Every Wed during Campus Life Time

Do you love anime? Do you love video games? Do you want to have fun and make tons of friends? Animated Perspectives has its library system that lends out anime VHS to its members. Members can choose from hundreds of anime titles to watch. AP also provides tons of manga for members to read and puts together constant anime showings of the latest animes. Some of the AP's members also volunteer at ICon. AP also has its own gaming area for gamers.

The AA E-Zine was established to provide an outlet for news and information by, for, about, and to the Asian American campus community through a bi-weekly online newsletter. It contains a photo and video gallery of major AA campus events (e.g. Asian Night, China Night), as well as a calendar that can be updated by any organization.  Excerpts are also published in the SB Press bi-weekly and there is an annual hard copy review. It is the oldest continuously published campus 'newspaper' for the AA community in the US. Students can receive academic credit and internships.

The Buddhism study and practice group is an organization which serves as an outlet for those who are interested in practicing Buddhism and for those who want to know more about Buddhism. Our weekly meetings include meditation sessions and discussion groups. Each month we invite guest speakers to give talks related to various topics of interest and we also take occasional trips to temples and monasteries.

The purpose of this WUSB radio show is to serve the local Chinese American students, scholars, and residents. Due to the multilingual aspect of Chinese dialects, the show alternates between Cantonese and Mandarin on a weekly basis. The audience is encouraged to call in to request songs or join discussions on our weekly topics.

The Chinese Association at Stony Brook is a cultural organization that is dedicated to promoting the Chinese culture throughout the campus community by a variety of activities, events, and programs. It is the oldest cultural club on campus and has a major annual event, China Night, each Spring semester.

The Chinese Literature Club focuses on the exploration and analysis of Chinese literature. Members are able to learn how to compose and critically analyze different forms of literature such as poetry, essays, and short stories. The purpose of Culinary Club is to promote food appreciation including food culture, food history, and culinary arts; and various culinary techniques involving different types of cooking. Kappa Phi Lambda Sorority Inc. was established on March 9, 1995 at Binghamton University. Due to its interesting and influential impact it had on others, Kappa Phi Lambda has spread to many other universities in these past years. Wendy Chan, an Alpha Delta sister from Binghamton, transferred to SBU. Undeniably, there is a huge population of Asian Americans at Stony Brook. Kappa Phi Lambda gave Wendy an initiative to unite the community and promote Asian Awareness. With much struggle and time, Wendy was able to accumulate girls that had the same interest and goals.

MSA stands for Muslim students and their rights as students. MSA is actively trying to provide better services for Stony Brook Muslims students in terms of food, places to pray, etc. There is a Prayer room in the Union and halal food is served in two places on Campus. MSA also stands to educate non-Muslims about Islam and to also help Muslims get better acquainted and learn more about Islam.
